Before the thought of moving to Canada occurred the thought of seeing the Northern Lights somewhere else.

It was amazing to see the lights in Alta, Norway. Albeit being the tail-end of the season, Alta was still far up north of the hemisphere enough to make it an ideal place for last minute aurora chasing. That I did and it was such a surreal experience, I made it a mission to catch the lights from more parts of the globe.

The plan was to visit Canada in December 2018. “I’d catch the lights from there,” I said. But luck, if it was that, came in the form of something else. As I was doing my research and talking to my cousin, she brought to mind another amazing idea: “Why don’t you try to migrate to Canada? You have the experience and you have the education.”

Much as I never thought of moving to Japan, so had I never even thought of moving to Canada. Here we go again.
